Vegan Eggless Custard Cake



This vegan custard cake doesn't need eggs and is a delicious dessert that's great for any event. It's fluffy, light, and tastes great with vanilla. Plus, it doesn't have any dairy at all!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup plant-based milk such as almond or soy milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder for color
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder, turmeric powder, and salt

Add plant-based milk, melted vegan butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients

Mix until smooth and well combined

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool completely in the pan

Once cooled, slice and serve
